Humansized was chosen by GameLayers Inc. to build the Firefox
extension employed by their passively multiplayer game The Nethernet.
This unconventional massively multiplayer online game merges your web life with an
alternate, hidden reality. Player behavior generates characters and alliances, triggers
interactions in the environment and earns the player points to spend online beefing up
their inventory. Suddenly the Internet is not a series of untouchable exhibits,
but rather a hackable, rewarding environment!
Pledgie is an in-house project that allows anyone to raise funds online for meaningful causes. There is no charge for the service. Instead, Pledgie's goal is to create an online version of the personal, one-on-one interactions that traditionally are at the heart of successful grassroots volunteerism.
Humansized worked with Palm behind the scenes on the information architecture and user experience for several key features of the Palm Pre ®, including Bluetooth and WI-FI networking. This shot shows an early prototype of the device with some of the menu interfaces.
Mark Daggett from Humansized will be presenting "Surviving the last 20%: Indispensable real-world tips and techniques for Facebook development that pick up where Facebook gems and plugins leave off." at this years Ruby Midwest conference.

Humansized is a privately held software design & development consultancy located in the Kansas City, Kansas. We specialize in application development, user experience and interface design; we aim to create software, which promotes natural interactions between humans and computers.
We work with you to define the requirements and opportunities in your idea by understanding your company’s goals, desires and needs.
Design is about solving problems visually. We design with information; by gathering, understanding, organizing and explaining it.
We create useful, usable, accessible software, through standards-compliant, sustainable, exhaustively-tested code.
Albert Einstein had it right when he said, “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler”. A good design should reduce the user's work, not the uses of your software.
The spirit of that concept is central to our process, which aids in the creation of succinct, reliable and enjoyable software, without losing the specifics of your needs.
Our process can be summed up into these five steps:
understand,
make,
deploy,
measure,
iterate.
